Greetings my fellow Ranters,
Been awhile, but hey I've been busy.
Firstly, I hope you and all of your families are doing well! I hope you are staying well and healthy...
Okay, now that that's said and done, let's just get into it shall we?
Ummm, I honestly can't help but laugh at what is happening right now in regards to the schools "possibly" going all remote. If you haven't laughed yet, something is either wrong (with you), you're taking things to seriously, or it just hasn't hit you yet. Don't worry, it'll hit you soon. There's still plenty of school year left.
At this point, I think most teachers would just like some sense of normalcy. It’s been incredibly difficult to teach in person and then have to go remote and keep switching back and forth. But I guess that’s what we get when we don’t have great thinkers running things.
I don’t know about y’all but this whole situation is truly stressful and just plain annoying.
Teachers are the unsung heroes!
I don't care what people say. I know doctors and nurses and other essential workers are out there taking care of things and handling business, but the difference is at least they are getting some sort appreciation and credit.
Have you heard any general population appreciation?
Yeah, mean either.
We've got the system running around like a chicken with it's head cut off and still have the nerve to give directions and act like they have everything together. They don't take responsibility for anything and generally tend to lie. But that's a whole nother topic for another time. They show us appreciation by taking the days we used to have off and make us work remotely. They took every teachers and child's right of passage, Snow Days. Making us work remotely. Don't you just feel so appreciated?
Don't you feel appreciated when you see parents out protesting about their children not being in school? Don't you feel appreciated when parents call the school and the news to complain about things that we have no control over? Don't you feel appreciated when they ask you to do double the work and they still expect to see you reach certain expectations?
Everything mediocre, baby!
Often, when people are given too many tasks given at a certain time, the results are mediocre.
I've spoken to so many colleagues that said in the earlier weeks of the school year that they feel like they've been working for months and are already feeling burnt out. Now, we don't even know which one to hate more, remote learning or this in-person / blended garbage.
After all of this, some things will not be returning to our old normal.
I bet you snow days will be gone forever...
What do you think will never return to "normal" after this pandemic?
I could say way more, but that's all for this post...
Remember, Rant Irresponsibly!
Yours truly,
